UNITED K9 2026 Event – Participant Dog Criteria

 

Assumption of Risk: Attendees and participants acknowledge that the UNITED K9 event involves activities that may carry inherent risks, including but not limited to interactions with dogs, physical demonstrations, and exposure to outdoor environments. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending and participating in the event.

✅ Training Requirements

• All participating dogs must have completed basic obedience training and be able to respond reliably to commands in a public or working environment.

• Dogs participating in French Ring, Canicross, Frisbee, Dock Diving,  Search & Rescue or other activities must demonstrate control and responsiveness appropriate to their discipline.

• Any uncontrollable, overly reactive, or aggressive dog that may pose a risk to other dogs or participants will be asked to leave the event.


✅ Gear Requirements

• All dogs must be equipped with safe, durable, and professional-grade gear suited to their activity.


⚠️ Important

In compliance with Quebec provincial animal welfare regulations, the use of prong collars and electronic shock collars (e-collars) is strictly prohibited on the event grounds.

Prong collars and electronic shock collars (e-collars) are strictly forbidden on the premises, in compliance with Quebec provincial regulations regarding the welfare and safety of domestic animals.
