Headquartered in Terrebonne, Quebec, Ortho‑Animo is a pioneering clinic specializing in custom orthotics, prosthetics, braces, and supports for animals — including dogs, cats, and even horses. Their innovative, non-surgical solutions help animals recover from injuries, regain strength and stability, and return to an active, pain-free life.
At the heart of the operation is Martin Dussault, a certified orthotist with more than 35 years of experience treating humans — and the past seven years dedicated exclusively to animal care. Martin’s deep technical knowledge and genuine compassion come together to offer pets, especially dogs, a second chance at mobility. His custom canine knee braces, for example, are designed to replicate the function of torn ligaments, helping to restore movement without surgery — and in many cases, are delivered the same day.
Ortho‑Animo’s main clinic is located in Terrebonne, but their services extend across the province through a network of mobile clinics — reaching communities like Brossard, Granby, Sainte-Julie, Laval, and Saint-Eustache, making expert-level animal care more accessible to all.
What makes their presence so meaningful for our community is their direct impact on the lives of working dogs — those serving in military, law enforcement, security, search and rescue, and service roles. These dogs endure physical demands daily, and when injuries or age take a toll, the team at Ortho‑Animo is there to support their recovery, strength, and long-term well-being.
Martin and his team are redefining animal care. Their mission goes beyond treatment — it’s about restoring confidence, movement, and quality of life for animals that give so much of themselves to the people they serve.
