We’re incredibly excited to announce that mezzo-soprano Michal Aloni will be joining us at UNITED K9 2025 for a very special performance on Sunday, September 14.

Just prior to the presentation of the John Douangdara & Bart the Warrior Dog 2025 Award, Michal will take the stage to perform live renditions of “O Canada” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.” With her warm, velvety voice and magnetic stage presence, she will set the tone for a moment of honour, unity, and remembrance.

Born in Tel Aviv and now based in Canada, Michal is a classically trained singer, actress, and emerging stage director. A member of the Canadian Opera Company Chorus since 2022, she has performed across North America and Europe in both traditional and contemporary works, earning praise for her expressive vocal power and compelling artistry.

Her presence at UNITED K9 brings together a rare combination of musical excellence, international perspective, and heartfelt tribute — a perfect match for the values celebrated through this landmark award.
