Canadian Champion & N’zo’s Handler
We are thrilled to welcome Julie Valero to UNITED K9 this September at ICAR Mirabel! Julie will be taking part in the French Ring decoy demonstrations alongside Saul Garcia, bringing her years of experience and competitive spirit to the field.
A lifelong dog enthusiast, Julie has transformed her passion into a remarkable career spanning over 17 years. She has earned multiple Canadian French Ring titles (Ring 1, 2, and 3 Champions) with several dogs, competed internationally in the U.S., Mexico, and France, and secured a place among the top 100 at the 2025 French Selectives—as one of only four foreigners to achieve this distinction.
Julie is also enrolled in the French Ring Judgeship program and has successfully crossed over into PSA, earning titles at record speed with the first dual sport dog of its kind in Canada. Her dedication has made her a cornerstone in the Alberta Ringsport and Canadian Ringsport community, where for over a decade she has guided handlers in advancing their skills and solving challenges in training.

Beyond competition, Julie works with puppies, family pets, aggressive or reactive dogs, and professional K9s for police and protection work. She collaborates with shelters to assess, rehabilitate, and re-home surrendered dogs, and through her breeding and selection program has produced working dogs now serving with police departments, SWAT teams, and protection homes across North America.
Julie also shares her expertise through seminars and mentorship, including helping launch a French Ring Club in the USA. For her, the true joy lies in the "aha" moment—the instant when the bond between dog and handler becomes undeniable.
