Alex Danes

Founder of Refract Media, a Canadian leader in professional drone services for commercial, residential, public, and industrial clients. Certified for advanced operations by Transport Canada and trained in thermography by the ITC, Alex combines technical expertise with a passion for innovation. His work includes high-resolution aerial photography, video, and infrared thermal imaging for monitoring worksites, inspecting tall structures, mapping terrain, and detecting potential deficiencies.

In addition to his operational expertise, Alex is deeply interested in the evolving role of drones in public safety and emergency response. At UNITED K9, he will explore the fast-moving world of drone technology, including its emerging potential when integrated with K9 units for search and rescue missions. This forward-looking discussion will highlight how aerial and canine capabilities could work together to improve efficiency, safety, and mission outcomes.

On Saturday, September 13, Alex will also deliver a live on-site demonstration, offering attendees a close-up look at drone capabilities in action.
