One of the most exciting elements of UNITED K9 this September at ICAR Mirabel will be the French Ring demonstrations. Known for its intensity, precision, and teamwork, French Ring showcases the incredible bond between a handler and their dog — from obedience and agility to protection work under pressure.

This year, participants in the French Ring demonstrations will also have the chance to win a K9 Storm ID Harness, generously provided in partnership with K9 Storm.

The John & Bart Award

In addition to the K9 Storm prize, UNITED K9 will proudly present the first annual John Douangdara & Bart the Warrior Dog Award to the best-performing team during the fun match demonstrations. This award honours the legacy of John Douangdara, U.S. Navy SEAL dog handler, and his K9 partner Bart, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service. Their story represents courage, loyalty, and the unbreakable bond between handler and dog — the same values we celebrate at UNITED K9.

The award will be presented by our special guest, Mr. Sith Douangdara, father of John Douangdara, who will be joining us from Iowa, USA, to take part in this tribute.
