Dogs rescued, humans supported.
We are proud and deeply honoured to welcome TOGO – Les chiens TOGO to UNITED K9 2025, where their inspiring work with psychological service dogs will be showcased alongside other leaders in the working dog world.
TOGO is a Quebec-based non-profit organization with a mission that’s both compassionate and innovative: they train psychological service dogs to support individuals living with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges — but they do so by giving abandoned dogs a second chance at life.
In a world where animal abandonment remains a harsh reality, TOGO turns that tragedy into transformation. They select abandoned dogs that meet specific criteria and train them to become skilled, loyal partners in the lives of those who need them most. Each dog is carefully evaluated for temperament, resilience, and trainability — and if they pass, they begin a new journey not only toward recovery, but toward becoming a lifeline for someone else.

TOGO’s dogs are matched with people — including veterans, first responders, trauma survivors, and individuals coping with psychological disabilities — who gain renewed independence, connection, and emotional stability through their canine companions. And TOGO doesn’t just train the dogs; they offer comprehensive support throughout the process, ensuring both the person and the dog succeed together.
Their work is a testament to the idea that every life has value — whether it’s a dog given up too soon or a person struggling silently with invisible wounds.
At UNITED K9 2025, TOGO will be on site to share their mission, demonstrate their training approach, and introduce us to some of their incredible dogs. Their presence is a vital reminder of the power of second chances — and the extraordinary bond between human and animal.
